I am in the process of recording my songs and adding them slowly to this site and my YouTube channel. It's difficult to find the time, with five kids and being so involved in the church. I find that there's always time to write another song, but no time for recording and producing. So my list keeps growing and I feel more overwhelmed. But! I am pushing forward. Keep checking back, or follow me on social media and on iTunes, Spotify, Pandora and Amazon to hopefully hear all of these albums one day!

Abide With Me/The Lord is My Shepherd
This was one of the most incredible experiences of my life. I got to witness my arrangement be preformed by the Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra at Temple Square, with Alex Sharpe as the guest singer, for Music and the Spoken Word in August 2015. It was a total surprise to me. I got a message from Alex (an Irish singer whom I met through the Greens in Wilton ward), saying that Mack Wilberg had selected my arrangement of Abide With Me/The Lord is My Shepherd, after she had been invited to be a guest soloist and had given him a list of mp3s to choose from. My arrangement was featured on her album that Deseret Book had recently released, that I had encouraged her to do. (After working with Alex several times and being amazed at her vocal talent I asked her why she hadn't made an album yet, and I pushed her to come to my house and record demos that she could take to her friend in London and make professional tracks and create this album, which she did, I was so excited! She used two of my arrangements and one of my originals in her album.) Well after listening to a few of the mp3 options Alex had given to Mack, he selected Abide With Me. Alex messaged me, totally thrilled for me. I was invited to attend the rehearsal and meet Mack Wilberg, and if I stayed for the whole weekend, to attend the live performance and stand and be recognized as the arranger. It was like a little golden gift that had been placed in my lap; haha, I was stunned, humbled, anxious, a little jittery. I got on a plane two days later, to attend the Thursday night dress rehearsal, and then the Sunday morning live performance. It was so cool. I got star-treatment, meeting Mack's assistant at a special back door of the conference center, being escorted in to the rehearsal, where I sat and listened and cried, completely overwhelmed. I can't describe well enough how exciting it is to hear a song in your mind and then hear it preformed to its fullest potential, by the legendary TABERNACLE CHOIR and orchestra at temple square. During the practice I noticed members of the orchestra glancing down at me, probably thinking I looked very young. I didn't get to meet anyone that night; they were very rushed. But Sunday morning following the performance (at which, they had me stand and be recognized before they sang, and it was really cool seeing my name on the big screens in the conference center), I was escorted up to the stage to shake hands with Mack, who was comically arrogant when he said "Nice arrangement. I think I made it a bit better" because he added parts where the choir joined in with some stunning ooo's and ah's harmonies, And I don't disagree; it made it better, for sure! But it was still a moment I'll never forget, the way he said it, so matter-of-fact. I then went backstage with Alex, and had our picture taken together, and visited a few moments, before the magic was over and it was time to go. I was contacted by many people across the world for months, even years, afterward, requesting the sheet music for this arrangement, and telling me how much it touched them. What a beautiful memory this one is to me. I still can't believe it sometimes; it's like a good dream.
What Do I Know of Christ?
I made this slideshow video a couple years back, for a young women's event (so, originally it had photos of young women from our ward). Then, I remade it for a relief society activity, using photos of women in our ward and their families. Finally I redid it with just pictures of our family, including my parents and siblings. This song is special to me, even though I don't enjoy hearing my vocal flaws. It is my testimony that Christ loves us "more than we can comprehend" and He truly wants us to be happy, and it is because of Him that any lasting happiness is possible. It's because of Him that we can live eternally, and be with our families eternally. He makes the miracles come to pass. All is pointless without Christ.
Mother, My Eternal Friend
Ah, the Mothers Day song. When I was the primary music leader about four years ago, Mothers Day was coming up and I knew the ward would want the children to sing in sacrament meeting. It's tradition. However the children's song book has a limited amount of mothers day songs. I think there are 2. And I get tired of the same songs year after year. haha. Anyway, I came up with this one, and I absolutely loved teaching it to the 50+ primary kids and hearing their precious voices sing out to their mothers. There weren't many dry eyes, at least not of the Moms. Everyone asked for a recording afterward, but I don't know how to record choirs/large groups. ...Someday. For now, it is a solo. I got my sweet ten year old Jacob to record it for me. I love this song because it makes me think of me as a mother to my kids, and makes me think of what an angel my mother was to me.
